David Hackett is Studio and Laboratory manager for the DCMS a nd manages the Department's recording studio, midi / audio labs, field recording units, Department server and all technical/equipment facilities and requirements. Summary CVCertificate and Diploma in Audio Engineering from School of Audio Engineering, Surry Hills, Sydney 1985. Field recordist and recording engineer/producer, music technologist. Research assistant for Lord Howe Island recordings and interviews 2002 resulting in the publication of the research publication Hearing the Call: Music and Social History on Lord Howe Island, written Philip Hayward [2003]) Sound Co-ordinator -The Lord Howe Island 2003 and 2004 Music Festivals. Master of Recording Arts – Technical and Engineering support. Designed and fitted MRA studio 2005/6.
