Welcome to Contemporary Music Studies

 

Contemporary Music Studies is dedicated to the study of various forms of 20th and 21st Century music (popular, folk/indigenous, electronic, avant garde etc.) It offers a major within the university’s generic Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree, a BA Honours program and research degrees at Masters and PhD level.

It has expanded rapidly since its establishment in 1999. This reflects the dynamism and commitment of its staff and the Discipline's policy of supporting innovation in teaching.
